About Us
After a long history in construction, we established TED Construction & Developments in early 2017. We are a small family run business, going from strength to strength, without losing our ethos of just trying to do the right thing.
We’re not your typical building company, we directly employ our core team and have a passion for kindness- and nice people!
We get asked a lot where the name TED comes from, and the answer is that it’s purely sentimental. Sadly, Jason lost his father at a very young age and always said he wanted to do something that would have made his Dad proud. Jason’s dads name was Ted, and we hope that we’re making him proud every day.
We have 2 dogs, Oscar and Millie. Oscar used to go to work with Jason and the team every day, but he is a bit old and tired now so he keeps Debs and Millie company in the office (and sleeps a lot!). He is still our head of security, but in retirement! Millie is young and full of energy, and would dig a trench in minutes but luckily she doesn’t do that any more! She is in charge of making the tea, naturally it’s a very dry office where tea is concerned!

We have gone through rigorous checks with both companies, with the FMB even coming out to physically inspect work and ask questions to ensure we have the relevant knowledge. You can also read some of our reviews on our Facebook and Google pages.
Supporting our Community
We also support our local golf club in Selsey, and regularly donate to local charities. It’s important for us to support our community in any way we can, so we try and give back wherever possible. During the covid outbreak we donated a large amount of PPE (along with biscuits and hand creams for the wonderful staff!) to local nursing and care homes while it was in short supply. We’ve also supported The Academy with their remembrance garden by suppling them with the materials needed to create this.
A small but Trustworthy, Honest and Friendly Team
We have a small team, but with good reason. Recruitment is a big deal for us as we like to make sure that the people wearing our logo all live and breathe our values and ethos. We absolutely wouldn’t put anyone in a clients home, that we wouldn’t trust in our own home. We are gradually expanding our team, making sure that we get the right fit, every time! We pride ourselves on being nice people, and employing nice people. You can rest assured that any member of our team entering your home is trustworthy, honest and friendly!
